Description
A rich and comforting creamy chicken pasta made with tender chicken, a silky cream sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta.
Ingredients
- 250g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
- Add mushrooms (if using) and cook until tender.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs until the sauce thickens.
- Return cooked chicken to the pan and mix well.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until fully coated in the creamy sauce.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor and texture.
- Add spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- Do not overcook the chicken to keep it tender.
- Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
