Description

Strawberry cheesecake turnovers are flaky puff pastry pockets filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberry filling, baked until golden and perfect for dessert or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry pie filling or chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4 equal squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spoon cheesecake mixture into the center of each pastry square.
  5. Top with strawberry filling.
  6. Fold pastry over diagonally to form triangles and press edges to seal.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden.
  9. Allow turnovers to cool slightly.
  10. Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze and drizzle over turnovers.
