Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Spoon batter into donut pan, filling about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
  7. For glaze: whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Dip cooled donuts into glaze and let set.
