Soft and fluffy baked pumpkin donuts coated with a sweet maple glaze, making them the perfect fall-inspired treat.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spoon batter into donut pan, filling about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
- For glaze: whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Dip cooled donuts into glaze and let set.
Notes
- Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra indulgence, sprinkle glazed donuts with chopped pecans or cinnamon sugar.
- You can freeze unglazed donuts for up to 2 months.
