Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined (small lumps are fine).
- Heat a lightly greased skillet over medium heat.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2–3 minutes.
- Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with syrup, butter, or toppings of choice.
Notes
- Do not overmix to keep pancakes fluffy.
- Let batter rest 5 minutes for better texture.
