Description

Crispy parmesan-crusted chicken breasts served with a creamy garlic sauce for a flavorful and comforting dinner dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three bowls: flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in the third.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular.
  • Pair with pasta, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • If sauce is too thick, add a splash of broth to thin it.
  • This recipe can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes instead of pan-frying.
