Description
A quick and easy one-pot creamy garlic pasta made with simple ingredients and cooked entirely in one pan for minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the vegetable broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Add the pasta and ensure it is fully submerged in the liquid.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Remove from heat and let the pasta sit for 2 minutes to further thicken.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken broth for vegetable broth.
- Add cooked chicken, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor.
- If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of broth or cream.
