Description

A quick and easy one-pot creamy garlic pasta made with simple ingredients and cooked entirely in one pan for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the vegetable broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  3. Add the pasta and ensure it is fully submerged in the liquid.
  4. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Remove from heat and let the pasta sit for 2 minutes to further thicken.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken broth for vegetable broth.
  • Add cooked chicken, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor.
  • If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of broth or cream.
