Description
This one-pan garlic parmesan chicken pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful dish made with tender chicken, garlic, and pasta all cooked together for a quick and easy family dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 12 oz penne pasta (or pasta of choice)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally, about 10–12 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and butter. Mix until creamy and smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes (if using) and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for an even quicker meal.
- Add spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- Thin sauce with extra broth if needed.
