Description

A simple no-knead Dutch oven bread with a crisp golden crust and soft, airy interior, made with minimal ingredients and no kneading required.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant or active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and let rise at room temperature for 12–18 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F) with a Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
  5. Turn the dough out onto floured parchment paper and shape gently into a round loaf.
  6. Carefully place the dough (with parchment) into the hot Dutch oven.
  7. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until deeply golden.
  9. Remove bread and cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • The dough will be sticky—avoid adding extra flour.
  • Long fermentation improves flavor and texture.
  • Let bread cool completely to set the crumb.
