Description

Kurmura energy bars are no-bake, crunchy snack bars made with puffed rice, jaggery, nuts, and seeds, offering a healthy, naturally sweet energy boost.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups puffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
  • 1/2 cup jaggery, grated or powdered
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or roasted peanuts, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons honey or date syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or ghee
  • 2 tablespoons mixed nuts, chopped (almonds, cashews)
  • 1 tablespoon seeds (sesame, chia, or flax)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder


Instructions

  1. Grease a small tray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Heat coconut oil or ghee in a pan over low heat.
  3. Add jaggery and honey, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Add peanut butter or crushed peanuts and mix well.
  5. Stir in cardamom powder and seeds.
  6. Add puffed rice and chopped nuts; mix quickly to coat evenly.
  7. Transfer mixture to the prepared tray and press firmly.
  8. Allow to cool completely, then cut into bars.

Notes

  • Work quickly before the mixture hardens.
  • You can add dried fruits like dates or raisins.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
