Description
Honey garlic shrimp with broccoli is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp and crisp broccoli coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water; set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining olive oil to the skillet and sauté broccoli for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with black pepper and red pepper flakes if using, then serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook shrimp as they become rubbery.
- Serve over rice, noodles, or quinoa.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce saltiness.
