Description

Grilled cheese burrito made easy is a cheesy, comforting handheld meal filled with seasoned beef, rice, sauce, and wrapped in a tortilla grilled with melted cheese on the outside.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked seasoned rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or chipotle sauce
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (for grilling)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  3. Warm tortillas slightly so they are pliable.
  4. Layer rice, seasoned beef, shredded cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and sour cream onto each tortilla.
  5. Fold tortillas into burritos, tucking sides in tightly.
  6. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese directly onto the skillet.
  8. Place burrito seam-side down on the cheese and cook until cheese forms a golden crust.
  9. Flip and grill the other side until crispy and heated through.
  10. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Press burrito gently while grilling for even browning.
  • Add jalapeños or fries inside for extra flavor.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
