Description
Grilled cheese burrito made easy is a cheesy, comforting handheld meal filled with seasoned beef, rice, sauce, and wrapped in a tortilla grilled with melted cheese on the outside.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups cooked seasoned rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream or chipotle sauce
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (for grilling)
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Warm tortillas slightly so they are pliable.
- Layer rice, seasoned beef, shredded cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and sour cream onto each tortilla.
- Fold tortillas into burritos, tucking sides in tightly.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese directly onto the skillet.
- Place burrito seam-side down on the cheese and cook until cheese forms a golden crust.
- Flip and grill the other side until crispy and heated through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Press burrito gently while grilling for even browning.
- Add jalapeños or fries inside for extra flavor.
