Description

A light and flavorful Mediterranean-style dish featuring whole branzino grilled to perfection with fresh herbs, lemon, and olive oil. Perfect for a healthy and elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole branzino, cleaned and scaled
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 lemons (1 sliced, 1 for serving)
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary (or thyme)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  2. Rinse and pat the branzino dry with paper towels. Score the skin on both sides.
  3. Rub fish inside and out with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stuff cavity with lemon slices, garlic, and rosemary.
  5. Place fish on grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until skin is crispy and flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Transfer to a platter, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Can also be cooked under a broiler or in a grill pan if outdoor grill is not available.
  • For extra flavor, marinate branzino in olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, couscous, or a fresh salad.
