Description
A light and flavorful Mediterranean-style dish featuring whole branzino grilled to perfection with fresh herbs, lemon, and olive oil. Perfect for a healthy and elegant meal.
Ingredients
- 2 whole branzino, cleaned and scaled
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 lemons (1 sliced, 1 for serving)
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary (or thyme)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Rinse and pat the branzino dry with paper towels. Score the skin on both sides.
- Rub fish inside and out with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Stuff cavity with lemon slices, garlic, and rosemary.
- Place fish on grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until skin is crispy and flesh flakes easily with a fork.
- Transfer to a platter, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Can also be cooked under a broiler or in a grill pan if outdoor grill is not available.
- For extra flavor, marinate branzino in olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic for 30 minutes before grilling.
- Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, couscous, or a fresh salad.
