Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- For the Filling:
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven: to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8-inch round or square baking dish.
- Make the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add Greek yogurt and honey, mixing with a spatula until a soft dough forms. Knead gently on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Roll out: On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle (about 1/4-inch thick).
- Prepare filling: Brush melted butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the top.
- Roll and slice: Tightly roll the dough from the long side into a log. Slice into 8–10 rolls and arrange them in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Make glaze: In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust thickness as desired.
- Serve: Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy immediately.
