Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs or rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead lightly or mix until smooth, then cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and oil a baking pan.
- Transfer dough to the pan and gently press to spread, creating dimples with your fingers.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic, herbs, Parmesan cheese, and flaky sea salt on top.
- Let rest for 15 minutes.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

- Do not overwork the dough to keep it light and airy.
- Add mozzarella for a cheesier variation.
