Description
Easy taco cups are bite-sized baked appetizers made with seasoned ground beef and cheese nestled in crispy tortilla cups, perfect for parties or quick dinners.
Ingredients
- 12 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
- Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a muffin tin.
- Press tortillas into the muffin cups to form small bowls.
- Bake tortillas for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.
- Meanwhile, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Fill each tortilla cup with seasoned beef.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for an additional 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with salsa, sour cream, and desired garnishes.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use wonton wrappers instead of tortillas for extra crunch.
- Ground turkey can be substituted for beef.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
