Description

Easy taco cups are bite-sized baked appetizers made with seasoned ground beef and cheese nestled in crispy tortilla cups, perfect for parties or quick dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Press tortillas into the muffin cups to form small bowls.
  3. Bake tortillas for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.
  4. Meanwhile, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  5. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Fill each tortilla cup with seasoned beef.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for an additional 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from oven and top with salsa, sour cream, and desired garnishes.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use wonton wrappers instead of tortillas for extra crunch.
