Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz fresh salmon, diced
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (halal)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
  • Nori sheets for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix warm sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  3. Spread rice evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, combine salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. Spread cream cheese evenly over the rice.
  6. Top with the spicy salmon mixture.
  7. Sprinkle furikake seasoning evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes until salmon is cooked through.
  9. Remove from oven and garnish with green onions.
  10. Serve warm with nori sheets for scooping.
