An easy spicy salmon sushi bake made with tender salmon, seasoned rice, creamy spicy mayo, and baked until warm and flavorful, perfect for a fun dinner idea.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 oz fresh salmon, diced
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (halal)
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
- Nori sheets for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Mix warm sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Spread rice evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Spread cream cheese evenly over the rice.
- Top with the spicy salmon mixture.
- Sprinkle furikake seasoning evenly over the top.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until salmon is cooked through.
- Remove from oven and garnish with green onions.
- Serve warm with nori sheets for scooping.
Notes
- Use sushi-grade salmon for best flavor.
- Add avocado or cucumber for extra texture.
- Leftovers reheat well in the oven.
