Description

A soft, buttery coffee cake made with sweetened condensed milk for extra richness and moisture, topped with a light glaze and perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Mix powdered sugar with milk to make glaze and drizzle over cooled cake.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake tender.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
  • You can add a cinnamon swirl or chopped nuts for extra texture.
