Description

Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna is a warm, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth dessert layered with gooey cinnamon rolls, tender spiced apples, and creamy cheesecake filling — the ultimate fall comfort treat that tastes like apple pie meets cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls, separated and sliced into rounds
  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • Optional toppings: caramel sauce, chopped pecans, or extra cinnamon glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are soft and caramelized. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
  4. Flatten cinnamon roll rounds slightly and layer half of them across the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the first layer.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolls.
  6. Add half of the cooked apples on top of the cream layer.
  7. Repeat with remaining cinnamon roll slices, cream cheese filling, and apples.
  8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Drizzle the included cinnamon roll icing or caramel sauce on top while warm.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving warm and gooey.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, drizzle caramel sauce or top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream before serving.
  • Use pre-made apple pie filling for a quicker version.
  • Refrigerate leftovers and reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • Perfect for brunches, holiday desserts, or cozy nights in.
