Description
A creamy and cheesy chicken mozzarella pasta dish made with tender chicken, pasta, tomato sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 12 ounces penne pasta (or preferred pasta)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and fully cooked through.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in marinara sauce and heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
