Description

Chicken crepes shawarma is a fusion dish combining soft crepes filled with spiced shawarma-style chicken, fresh vegetables, and a creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 prepared crepes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced chicken and all spices; cook for 5–7 minutes until chicken is well coated and heated through.
  4. In a bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise, and lemon juice to make the garlic sauce.
  5. Warm crepes slightly to make them pliable.
  6. Place chicken shawarma in the center of each crepe.
  7. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
  8. Drizzle with garlic sauce.
  9. Fold or roll crepes tightly and serve warm.
