Description
Chicken crepes shawarma is a fusion dish combining soft crepes filled with spiced shawarma-style chicken, fresh vegetables, and a creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 prepared crepes
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced chicken and all spices; cook for 5–7 minutes until chicken is well coated and heated through.
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise, and lemon juice to make the garlic sauce.
- Warm crepes slightly to make them pliable.
- Place chicken shawarma in the center of each crepe.
- Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
- Drizzle with garlic sauce.
- Fold or roll crepes tightly and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Add pickles or fries for a street-style twist.
