Description
Cheesy garlic bread is a classic side dish made with crusty bread slathered in garlic butter and topped with melted cheese, baked until golden and bubbly.
Ingredients
- 1 large baguette or loaf of Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley or Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the bread, followed by Parmesan cheese.
- Place bread on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Slice and serve warm.

- Use freshly grated cheese for best melting.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
