Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice or Corn Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (thick)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice (or cinnamon)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup apple chips or dried apple pieces, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup caramel bits or chopped soft caramels (optional)
Instructions
- Place Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, caramel sauce, and butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
- Stir in the apple pie spice or cinnamon until fully incorporated.
- Pour the caramel-white chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal. Gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or container with a lid. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until the cereal is well covered.
- Spread the coated mix on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and set.
- Once cooled, mix in chopped apple chips and caramel bits if desired.
