Description
Caramel Apple Pie Bombs are bite-sized dessert treats made with flaky dough wrapped around spiced apples and gooey caramel, then baked or fried until golden and irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped
- 12 soft caramel candies, halved
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional: powdered sugar or caramel sauce for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate biscuit dough and flatten each piece into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of chopped apple pie filling in the center of each dough circle.
- Add one piece of caramel on top of the apples.
- Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, pinching seams to seal.
- Roll into smooth balls and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush each dough ball with melted butter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the tops.
- Bake for 14–16 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Seal dough well to prevent caramel from leaking.
- Best served warm for gooey centers.
- Can also be air-fried at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes.
