Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a creamy, spicy comfort dish featuring tender Cajun-seasoned chicken tossed with fettuccine noodles in a rich garlic Parmesan Alfredo sauce. It’s the perfect balance of heat and creaminess for a restaurant-quality meal at home.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Rub Cajun seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and slice.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and paprika, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Top with sliced Cajun chicken and garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
- Use shrimp or sausage instead of chicken for variation.
- For extra spice, add more Cajun seasoning or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce.
- Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
- Pairs perfectly with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
