Description
A creamy and cheesy potato casserole with the bold flavors of Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and garlic. Perfect as a comforting side dish for family dinners or holidays.
Ingredients
- 6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 cup Caesar dressing
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted (if using breadcrumbs)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together Caesar dressing, sour cream, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add sliced potatoes and toss until well coated.
- Layer half of the potato mixture in the prepared dish. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese.
- If using, combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes, until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits or grilled chicken between layers.
- Yukon Gold potatoes can be used for a creamier texture.
- Pairs well with roasted meats or grilled vegetables.
