Description
Berry & Brie Stuffed Jalapeño “Candy Poppers” are sweet and spicy bite-sized appetizers featuring fresh jalapeños filled with creamy brie and berry preserves, then baked until warm and melty.
Ingredients
- 10 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
- 150 g brie cheese, rind trimmed and cubed
- 1/3 cup berry preserves (strawberry, raspberry, or mixed berry)
- 2 tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional drizzle)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
- Place jalapeño halves cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- Fill each half with cubes of brie cheese.
- Top brie with a small spoonful of berry preserves.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts if using.
- Season lightly with black pepper and a pinch of salt.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until brie is melted and jalapeños are tender.
- Drizzle with honey if desired.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation.
- For extra crisp texture, top with crushed crackers before baking.
- Best served immediately while cheese is gooey.
