A healthy and refreshing make-ahead breakfast featuring creamy oats layered with bananas and mixed berries, perfect for busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • Optional toppings: extra banana slices, fresh berries, granola, nuts


Instructions

  1. In a jar or container, combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add sliced banana and mixed berries. Gently stir to distribute.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
  4. In the morning, stir oats and top with additional fruit, granola, or nuts before serving.

Notes

  • Overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For extra sweetness, mash half a banana into the oats before refrigerating.
