Description
A healthy and refreshing make-ahead breakfast featuring creamy oats layered with bananas and mixed berries, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
- Optional toppings: extra banana slices, fresh berries, granola, nuts
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.
- Add sliced banana and mixed berries. Gently stir to distribute.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
- In the morning, stir oats and top with additional fruit, granola, or nuts before serving.
Notes
- Overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For extra sweetness, mash half a banana into the oats before refrigerating.
- Use frozen berries if fresh ones aren’t available.
