Description

Baked ravioli casserole is an easy, comforting oven-baked dish made with layers of cheese-filled ravioli, rich marinara sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for a family-friendly meal.


Ingredients

  • 25 oz refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish.
  3. Arrange half of the ravioli in a single layer.
  4. Dollop half of the ricotta cheese over the ravioli.
  5. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and a portion of Parmesan.
  6. Top with more marinara sauce.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, ricotta, sauce, and cheeses.
  8. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

  • Add cooked ground beef or sausage for extra protein.
  • Frozen ravioli can be used without thawing.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
