Description

Autumn Punch is a refreshing and cozy seasonal drink that captures the essence of fall with crisp apple cider, tangy cranberry juice, and warm spices. Perfect for gatherings, this punch can be served chilled or warm and easily adapted for kids or adults.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (optional for sweetness)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 45 whole cloves
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup club soda or ginger ale (optional, for sparkle)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or punch bowl, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, and lemon juice.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, and maple syrup or honey if using.
  3. For Hot Punch: Simmer over low heat for 15–20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend, then remove spices and serve warm.
  4. For Cold Punch: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and infuse flavors, then remove the spices.
  5. Before serving, add sliced apples and oranges for garnish.
  6. Stir in club soda or ginger ale just before serving for a fizzy touch.
  7. Serve in glasses with ice cubes or warm mugs, depending on the version.

Notes

  • For an adult version, add 1 cup of spiced rum or bourbon before serving.
  • Use sparkling apple cider instead of regular cider for a festive twist.
  • Make it ahead and refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor.
  • Garnish with cinnamon sticks or star anise for a beautiful fall presentation.
