Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla.
- Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let bread cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over the warm bread before slicing.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Do not overmix to keep bread tender.
- Store covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
