Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf that fits inside your air fryer basket. Place it on a small sheet of parchment paper or aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  4. Air fry for 20 minutes, then brush the top with ketchup and continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. Remove from the air fryer and let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
